The concert, set to begin at 8 p.m. at the courtyard of Poland's Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, is part of the ongoing cultural series Dziedziniec Kultury (The Courtyard of Culture).
The event promises to offer a night of compelling music and cultural dialogue, reflecting the complex contemporary issues through the universal language of music.
Almashan, known for her iconic, deep voice and dedication to her musical roots, has previously formed part of groups like Kultura de Natura and Soomood.
Her album Yemenia enjoyed significant attention from music journalists and listeners alike, spending three months on the Top20 World Charts Music Europe.
Almashan is currently working with her team on her second studio album titled Insaniya.
Almashan’s performance will feature songs from her solo debut album, Yemenia, which touches on themes of poverty and war while calling for peace and equality beyond the boundaries of the Islamic world.
The album has been described as a beacon of hope and resilience for young Yemeni women living in a rigid, patriarchal society.
Joining Almashan on stage will be Adam Lemańczyk on keyboards, Mateusz Szemraj on oud and electric guitar, Adeb Chamoun on oriental percussion instruments and vocals, Paweł Dobrowolski on drums, and Piotr Żaczek on bass guitars.
Their collaboration promises a blend of ethnic and modern sounds, drawing on influences from Arab and African countries.
This year’s Dziedziniec Kultury series is inspired by the work of Melchior Wańkowicz, a distinguished 20th-century Polish writer, and carries the theme "Closer."
The program aims to bring contemporary issues and the diversity of modern life closer to the audience through a mix of extraordinary sound reports and musical performances.
The concert series is co-organized by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the National Centre for Culture, with support from Warsaw City Hall.
